How do I begin?

We offer a FREE screening of your child's expressive language (how they express their wants and needs), receptive language (how they understand what is being communicated), and articulation (how they produce speech sounds). Based on the results, we may recommend a formal evaluation to further assess your child’s speech and language skills. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s speech development, we strongly encourage you to reach out.

How do I know if someone needs speech or language services?

We begin with a comprehensive speech evaluation (unless you have had a recent evaluation within the last 6 months) to determine if speech therapy is needed. This evaluation helps us compare your child's skills to those of same-age peers and guide us in deciding if therapy is recommended.

What is your age range of clients?

We welcome clients of all ages, from birth to 99 years old. We strongly encourage early intervention, as research shows that early speech therapy can have a significant positive impact on a child's language development and communication skills as they grow.

How much will therapy cost me?

Currently, SpeakStrong is an in-network provider  in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sanford Health, United HealthCare and Medicaid.  Once you provide your insurance details, we will verify your benefits and eligibility to help you understand your potential costs.
If you choose to pursue out-of-network therapy services, we can provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement. This document lists the dates of service and the amounts paid for therapy. For reimbursement details, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly. FSA and HSA funds may also be used to cover therapy costs. Does My Child Need Outpatient Therapy If They Are Receiving Services Through Early Intervention or a School IEP?

Many children benefit from additional services alongside their school IEP or early intervention program. The earlier we can provide support, the better the outcomes for language development and communication skills as they grow.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens, and illnesses or emergencies can arise. We kindly ask for 24 hours' advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations without sufficient notice will result in a cancellation fee, which will be automatically billed.
